The Almas
This mysterious creature is known as "the Almas", or “Mongolian wild man,”. Its a hominid that's a staple in Central Asia folklore, especially in Mongolia. The creature is rumored to be inhumanly strong and have a hairy and extremely muscular body resembling a primitive human.
The locals have tales suggesting the being lives high up in the mountains and surrounding forests and is rarely spotted. The Almas has been theorized to be a population of ancient hominins that have nearly gone extinct, while others believe its only a folktale to ward off children from traveling to far into the mountain.
There's been many expeditions to find evidence of this cryptid however nothing substantial has been found. The Almas remains one of the many unsolved mysteries of our world.
