The Nandi Bear
Named after The Nandi people, the Nandi Bear is a legendary creature from East African folklore. This nocturnal beast is rumored to viscously attack animals and humans, possibly even scalping them.
There's also stories that suggest they will steal children in East Africa, especially during the night. This monster has been described as part hyena or bear mixed with a baboon. One interesting theory suggests that this creature is actually a type of calicotheriidae which are believed to be extinct.
Skeptics argue that this creature is purely myth as there's been no concrete evidence to suggest it exists, however some cryptozoologists argue that its a near extinct creature from the distant past.
